Brunch Bread with Scrambled Eggs

Layered with ham, egg and cheese within flaky, buttery crescent rolls, your friends will love this bread with everything in it.


Total Time: 45 Minutes (Prep - 20 Minutes / Cook - 25 Minutes)

Ingredients

  • 2 tubes refrigerated crescent roll dough

  • 1/3lb deli ham; cut into strips

  • 10 eggs

  • 4oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/3 cup red pepper, diced into small pieces

  • 1/4 cup yellow onion, finely diced

  • 1 cup shredded colby jack cheese

  • 3 1/2 tablespoon butter

  • Garlic salt

  • Parsley


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and cream cheese.

  2. Add about 1 1/2 tablespoon of butter to a nonstick skillet. Melt on medium-high heat.

  3. Add peppers and onions. Lightly stir until onions become translucent. Lightly season with salt and pepper.

  4. Add egg mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Continue scrapping the bottom of the skillet until eggs become firm. Remove from heat.

  5. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly spray a cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray.

  6. Unroll crescent roll dough and arrange in the center with sides touching vertically.

  7. Seal the center of the dough together and any seams by lightly pressing down and together with your fingers.

  8. Add ham to the center 1/3 of the dough. Cut 1-inch horizontal slices down both edges of the dough.

  9. Top with the eggs, leaving around 1-inch of dough at the top and bottom. Sprinkle with shredded cheese.

  10. Starting at the bottom, fold the front of the dough forward and crossing the dough together on the left and right sides. seal the dough together with your fingers.

  11. Add a sprinkle of garlic salt and parsley to 1 1/2 tablespoons of melted butter. Lightly brush over the top of the bread.

  12. Bake for around 25 minutes or until the dough is lightly browned on top.
