Chocolate Chip Banana Breakfast Bars

These easy, on-the-go breakfast bars are quick to make, easy to make your own creative creation and a perfect way to quickly get rid of those overripe bananas. Feel free to add more fruit if you'd like.


Total Time: 25 Minutes (Prep - 5 Minutes / Cook - 20 Minutes)

Servings: 10 Bars


Ingredients

  • 6 ripe bananas

  • 4 cups gluten free oats

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 2 tablespoons water

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Mash bananas in a large bowl with a fork. Add oats, cinnamon, water and chocolate chips.

  3. Line a square baking tin with baking paper or parchment paper. Pour in the mixture. Press down firmly with the back of a fork to compact it.

  4. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to coole for 10 minutes before slicing into bars.
