This classic brunch/breakfast dish includes an extra boost of protein to help fuel you early in the day and keep you going.
Total Time: 30 Minutes (Prep - 10 Minutes / Cook - 20 Minutes)
Servings: 6 Waffles
Ingredients
1 1/4 cup milk (I used unsweetened almond milk)
2/3 cup plain Greek Yogurt
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 teaspoons honey
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
Instructions
In a bowl, combine milk, yogurt, eggs, vanilla, honey, cinnamon. Mix until well combined.
Add the flour, baking powder and salt (optional). Mix until smooth and well combined.
Heat a waffle iron over medium heat. Spray with non-stick spray (do this between each waffle you cook).
Pour up to 1/2 cup of batter in the middle of the waffle iron. Close the iron and cook until crisp and golden brown, about 4 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter.
