Spaghetti is a easy family favorite dinner, but this dish will elevate your pasta game and won't take a lot of extra time to make!
Total Time: 25 Minutes (Prep - 5 Minutes / Cook - 20 Minutes)
Servings: 6-8 cups
Ingredients
1 lb spaghetti
1/2 large onion, diced
1/2 lb bacon or turkey bacon, diced
5 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup Parmesan, plus more to taste
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
Bring a big pot of heavily-salted water to a boil. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add bacon and cook until nearly crispy, stirring every few minutes. Add diced onion to the skillet and continue cooking until the bacon is crispy and the onion is translucent.
In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, Parmesan and black pepper and salt until well-blended. Set aside.
Once the pasta water is ready, add the spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 10 minutes. When pasta is ready, carefully drain out the pasta water and return pasta to the hot pot.
While stirring the pasta with one hand, pour the egg mixture into the pasta and continue to toss until the egg mixture is cooked into the pasta. Add the bacon and onion mixture and toss until mixed. Serve immediately.
