Nothing (to me) is better than getting out of church on a warm sunny Sunday afternoon and going to catch brunch at a local spot.
Sidenote: I'm ready for all of the millennial jokes.
If you don't know, brunch is a term that means "breakfast and lunch" and usually eaten between early morning to early afternoons.
There is no right or wrong dishes to enjoy during brunch. That's the benefit of brunch dishes; they can be sweet breakfast treats or savory, hearty lunch meals. Imagine, pancakes, waffles, eggs, steak, chicken, pork chops, grits, sausage, ham, cheese, biscuits...there is no limit to what you can indulge in.
But, there is the perfect key to a perfect brunch. You have to have to right balance of flavors and textures. You need something smooth, sweet, savory, rich, hearty, and it all needs to be tasty.
And that's it. We about the love of brunch over here, so pour a tall glass of mimosa and pass the biscuits and gravy please.
