We About The Love of ... Limes

Writer's picture: Drexler B. JamesDrexler B. James

Sometimes, when people think about lemons, they include limes. Lemons and limes are a beautiful combination in terms of flavor; think about the various lemon-lime sodas, or lemon and limes added to dishes.

But on its own, limes are actually pretty good too. They bring a different acidic flavor to dishes than lemons. While lemons often are considered to be bitter and tart, there is a sweetness with limes and they don't bring quite the bitterness and tartness that lemons do. Lemons are used more with a wider variety of dishes, but limes often are used in Caribbean and Mexican dishes for the lighter flavor of brightness.

What many people may not know is that limes can help with your skin. Adding it to your water or squeezing it over your food for the flavor and taste can help reduce wrinkles on your skin.

Adding limes to your food and water is a great way to distill the taste and flavor of the lime, but to heighten the acid in a dish, it's the perfect taste.

We about the love of limes, so go ahead and put the lime in the coconut (or the water) and mix it all up.
